Author of Works for Children and Young Adults
Two of the best things I've ever been told at a school visit:
"This book changed my life." --Jack, grade 8
"You make reading fun." --Martin, grade 6
(Actually, it's readers who make my writing fun!)

Lunch & Learn: The Power of Story with Claudia Cangilla McAdam
June 29, 2022 12 noon ET
About the Event
“Imagination is more important than knowledge,” said Albert Einstein.
While knowledge is limited to all we currently know and understand,
imagination is a powerful tool that can open up the entire world
when we stop and wonder, what if?
That’s particularly true when it comes to children.
Join us for a lunch-and-learn with Claudia Cangilla McAdam,
who will discuss how wondering who might have woven the Shroud of Turin
became the basis of her book, The Wordless Weaver.
Lunch and Learn is a free, virtual, and in person program held on
the last Wednesday of each month from noon to 1:00 p.m. EDT.
Join in person or online at this link.

"After reading Awakening, and a classroom visit with author Claudia McAdam, students were able to enter into a deeper understanding and reflection on Christ's Passion. Students were touched in numerous ways as they connected the book to Scripture & Tradition, pictures from the Holy Lands and additional insights shared by Mrs. McAdam. We are truly thankful for Mrs. McAdam's well written story."
--Lisa Newman, Middle School Religion Teacher, Ave Maria Catholic School, Parker, CO
"Claudia did a fabulous job working with our creative writing group that includes a range of children in grades 1 through 6. The children were engaged during the presentation and enthusiastic about sharing their ideas during the shared poetry activity. They were excited about meeting a local author."

"The book, The Mermaid's Gift, is a beautifully illustrated book and tells a heart warming story with an important message. Some of my Year 4 children have read the book and thoroughly enjoyed it. They specifically commented on the descriptive vocabulary and imagery in the form of metaphors. They said they loved the illustrations too. This is a lovely legend linked to the Christian values of faith, hope, love, perseverance and courage. I can't wait to share it with my new class in September."
--Joanne Foulds, Year 4 Class Teacher, Canon Burrows Church of England Primary School, Ashton-under-Lyne, England
